'We're called U2...'

The band have been honoured at a fair number of awards ceremonies over the years and we've pulled together some of the best video we have in a new gallery.

From Edge (in very cool beret and shades) rapping Numb at the 1993 MTV Video Music Awards to Jay-Z joining them on stage at the 2009 European Music Awards in Berlin, the gallery has some classic content.

There's plenty of speechifying and live performance at different Grammy Awards shows but our favourite clip has to be Bruce Springsteen's epic and affectionate essay when U2 were inducted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame in 2005. It's long... but well worth a watch.

Grand emotion

If Larry's the muscles, Edge the Brains, and Bono the raw nerves, then surely Adam is at the heart of the band. His acceptance speech was surely heart felt and did I detect a glint in the eye of Bono? or at least a wistful gaze. Mates to the end and that's why we love 'em.

R&R Hall of Fame

Hall of Fame videos are absolutely my favourites. Brilliant and touching speeches, especially Bono's "3 kodak moments". The guys look really moved. And the Boss, well, he's the greatest ! Thank you for posting these videos.

when bono said his story abut singing the song and closing his eyes and when he opened adam was there, i cried. so cute ! :) I love u2. All these videos were great! I especially enjoyed numb :D hahaha

Missig Footage

This is great but where is the one that started it all? Please add footage of U2 winning a grammy for the Joshua Tree...that is classic footage of what was to come. Thanks

Words are not enough

These videos are so... intense and rich! What a present, and it's not even christmas yet! Hard to pick one, but I guess that my favourite moment must be the EYES of EDGE, looking at BRUCE singing and playing I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, and seeing, in his eyes, in Edge's eyes, the spark, the inspiration, the shadow of a tear, the intensity, the diesbelief, of somebody that is so great and yet so humble, that he still cannot believe that - yes - Bruce Springsteen is playing his song, his chords. You have to love it. Thanks U2.
