13 Tracks, 13 Remixes

Artificial Horizon, the limited edition CD produced for subscribers to U2.com, is now released.

Running to 60 minutes, this exclusive CD features 13 tracks remixed by some of the world's leading DJs and producers. Including three never-before released tracks and two with very restricted previous release, here's a couple of lines from an early review by the editors at Mixmag:

'World beat flavour takes the song to totally different place.' (Elevation (Influx Mix) ); 'Makes U2 sound like another band entirely' (City Of Blinding Lights (Hot Chip Remix).

But what do you think ? Stand-out track? Most surprising mix? Song that sounds least like U2? Potential summer of 2010 dance-floor hit?

Just Magnificent...
Every time I ear the Cd my soul elevates fast as a car, I get on my Boots to feel the Magnificent voice of Bono. JUST MAGNIFICENT!!!

just received in France the cd... it is really a perfect album, with "survitamin" tracks !!!!! i love it. i expect the vynil version with impatience....

Great album!
Fast Cars, Magnificent and I'll Go Crazy... are far the best mixes on this album, though the entire thing is great!

Gone crazy tonight
It was worth it just for the live version of "crazy." The rest are great driving songs, just make sure you set the cruise control. Now I'll go crazy if I don't get a copy of the Pasadena 360 concert...

yuck
you cant hear edge in any of the songs and the drumming is electronic. Not what we needed. It is the opposite of how good they are live.

I'm not generally a fan of remixes, but
For the most part, I don't like remixes. I don't see the point when I almost always like the original better. Leave it to U2 to change my mind about that. I liked all the tracks and that they took previous U2 releases and made them seem like brand new again. I especially like the live version of I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight. It was a lot of fun when I saw them in concert and this is a nice little taste of how great and how fun the whole show was.

Got it yesterday!
It's amazing! Track 3 is my favourite! Makes me wanna dance!!! And what a great reminder of the tour for I'll go crazy.....

Lovin' it
Even the kids got excited when Artificial Horizon arrived in the mailbox two weeks ago. We haven't switched cds yet and we are thrilled with the remixes. Nothing like kicking it up a notch with already fabulous tunes.

All the songs are amazing. Both versions of Get on your boots will get you out of your mind!, vertigo is excelent... magnificent, city of blinding lights... the first one: Elevation... AWESOME!!!!!

I strongly agree with: - Dargo_irl - 11 March, 2010 "Lazy Effort" This is my 17th year as U2 fan. I listen to their music almost every day. I find this album very disappointing. Not a lot of work was put in those remixes. Why not ask other rock bands to make their own U2’s song version?

Very synthesized -
Its ok - but not like U2. The sound is for a night club - not why I listen to U2. You can't hear Edges guitar in some of the remixes nor Larry's real drumming (must be imitation drum kits) . To further promote No Line - please hurry with the Rose Bowl 2009 Video ! STILL LOVE YOU GUYS - hope to see you live someday -

Go Crazy
I've never been a huge fan of the remix's over the years, with a few notable exceptions.That said, there's a few tracks here that i like, with the standout being "Go Crazy" live from Croker. For that alone it's worth it, thank you.
