Want to see it
I'm a professional painter and did many paintings to U2 songs. Morleigh said many profound things about how the transformation from one artform into another works. I'm absolutly sure that one can make an autonomous painting which carrys the essence of the music it is connected to.. So why shouldn't you be able to do it the other way round and make a soundtrack or a dance performance to a painting?..I really would like to see it! Will this performance come to Munich, Germany?

Dancing in Paint
This sounds wonderful. I wish I could fly over from the US to see it.
A professor once said that the marks in my painting, a still life in white and grey, looked like they were made while dancing.
Thank you for the great interview. I loved the thought of the dream at the end. Maybe the performance will be like a dream that will continue in his own dreams. I'm sure it will be beautiful. A very kind birthday gift.

Great synthesis of the arts
Louis le Brocquy is an amazing artist whose paintings are very touching, atmospheric and haunting. The works I saw are clearly figurative, but they also have an abstract side, because instead of just reflecting reality the artist invents his own sort of reality full of mystery and subtle shades. All pictures truly express the whole complexity of human emotion. With "Cold Dream Colour" Morleigh Steinberg and The Edge create a very strong connection between different sorts of art, because every great painting contains a sort of movement that can be transformed into performance and sound. And using things like bottles and a glass harmonica, The Edge reveals his willingness to compose some experimental and extraordinary music once again. I wish I could see this outstanding project!

intrigued
When I first heard of this last week I went and looked through le Brocguy's body of work and was very intrigued by all of it.
I felt movement in many of his painting. Not action so much, but dfinitely movement and I can totally see how they lend themselves to dance.
Wish I could see it!
