Boston. Day off
We are going to Europe, apparently. Well, yes I know we know this, but its upon us all of a sudden. Some of my crew guys have already left for Europe and are currently putting together the video and lighting systems which will load into the stadium in Brussels just one week from today. (even writing this now it seems like a complete flight of fantasy that the time to produce the stadium show can be so close) Consequently I woke to a mailbox full of e.mail, but I managed to fend off most of the difficult questions without losing poise.
I had big social plans for this week in terms of meeting up with friends. It looked good on paper, with a couple of real days off, several shows, etc., but even here at the fag end of the first leg there still has barely been a moment to breathe outside of U2-world. I did however manage lunch over in Harvard Square today with a couple of friends, followed by a walk down Comm Ave, which is just delightful. It was a brighter day and for five minutes or so we even saw the sun (thousand doves released over City Hall).
That was about it though, I confess. The evening being occupied with a meeting with Bruce, a bite to eat and falling face first into the duvet. I think we all needed an earlier night than last night.
