Live From The Rose Bowl (To Everywhere)

'What time is it in the world and where are we going?' Bono asked after 'Get On Your Boots'. Tonight it was every time on the clock, depended which country you were in as the U2 360°: show went out live on YouTube to millions of viewers on seven continents.

A record-breaking 97,000 fans watched the show live at the Rose Bowl and we've been getting messages from fans all over the world who were enjoying it live online : you were watching in China and New Zealand, in Iran and in North Korea, in Russia and Latin America, in Canada and right across Europe.

From Iceland ('Definitely the greatest economy class I have ever had...') to Peru ('amazing, incredible and exciting...') the whole world seems to have been at the show.

'It's like we are all there at the concert,' said Baadsilver on our Zoootpia live thread 'We ALL have our hands in the air and are singing... crazy tonight for U2.'

Or as one smart Tweet put it, 'This has to be the best U2 concert I have never been to.'

donnagerms - 25 October, 2009 Vegas and you tube saw them in Vegas and now on you tube...so glad I made the trip to Vegas..you really cannot get a feel for how grand that stage is unless you see it in person, it is amazing as well since it accompanies the greatest band in the world! Cant wait for Seattle next year!

ColleenC - 26 October, 2009 Thanks It was nice of U2 to let us all see this show for "free" tonight and get up closer than most of us ever did at any of the shows we went to. I had nice seats at Giants Stadium 1 & 2 but didn't get to stand on the stage and be up close like this! So it was really cool. Very happy here to see another concert here in NYC and just got the email to find out that YES INDEED THEY ARE COMING BACK TO NYC IN 2010!! HURRAY! So tonight was my 3rd concert this year, two live and one virtual tonight and it was terrific! Thanks again U2!

I sang for joy w/ Magnificent and A Beautiful Day & expectation for The City of Blinding Lights .Belly danced to Mysterious Ways. Got elevated pogoing w/ the Edge during Elevation. Wept and shouted for joy as I rebooted & then shushed for Edge's bridge in Unknown Caller.Oh, oooh. Wept again w/ grief and joy for the Kingdom in Streets .Finally surrendering to the Light / Love ,getting a vision for visiability. I got an Irish blessing for sure as Grace abounds !!!

Just getting over the Las Vegas concert excitement (and that was a slight nightmare after the concert...), and thanks to you I was able to relive the best part of the evening. THE SHOW! It reminded me why we lined up in the heat, and why we decided to hike a 1/2 mile to find transportation back to our hotel...because it's worth every damn moment you get to experience in that pit! praying4U2 - 26 October, 2009 Just got home from the Rose Bowl What can I say, seeing U2 is always amazing but tonight was extra special. I actually closed my eyes (while recording with my phone!) and soaked it all in for my favorite song, STREETS.... It was glorious! I felt so blessed to be there. I had VIP seats. I was first row Ellipse for Vertigo so was scared for how the seating would go. But to be honest, I was happy. I would suggest everybody sees a show from outside the Ellipse - you really get the whole picture - and the whole picture is breath taking. Thank you, U2 and God bless you!
