A selection of Haiku written on the short flight from New York to Philadelphia by passengers on board Air Vertigo:

Head of clouds, sky of sharp bright light I wish we could swap

Lovely ladies bring cups of teaAnd I am grateful

(For Lucy)One on her wrist and One on her mind(We carry each other)

Martin and Lucy and WillieWrite above Trenton

I sit reclined and long for deathVodka and Red Bull

How many syllables are thereIn a Haiku verse?

To drive would be quicker but, heyIts only jet fuel

Blue eyes blue eyes looking at meBlue eyes looking too

Flying by plane is expensiveBut time is money

Vertigo is where I am atThough I dont have it

A bird flies high a fish swims lowWe lounge in between

David sleeps sweetly but he isScary when he wakes

Brian Murphy is very shortFor a security guy(not a Haiku, just an observation)

Soon we will land and I must peeThen do the set list

Twelve weeks since I saw home I hopeI turned off the stove

Bing bong goes the seatbelt sign thenStomachs turn over

Sun in sky PhiladelphiaRock and roll on ground

Another bloody van journeyDont like this venue

Well if you dont like this, then youShould see the Spectrum

Getting where youre trying to go isAlways a relief

Hello hello were in a placeCalled Phil A Del PheeeOh bugger this, lets get off the plane.
