'See you in New Zealand...'

'See you in New Zealand...'
Travel day.  Rome €“ London.

Having had a long load-out from a difficult stadium, there were a lot of weary people in the Austin Powers lounge at breakfast-time, but spirits were high and it was very good to have a chance to say good byes.

Missed a lot of people at the venue last night due to leaving rather abruptly and besides, most of them were utterly consumed by the load-out at the time.  Flight times were staggered through the day, so people were peeling off gradually.  I was the last man out, aside from folks who€™s decided to stay on for a few days holiday, so got to see most people.  See you in New Zealand, then.

Within the bands entourage (certainly by comparison to the crews clockwork scheduling) travel departure times are often a little loose. This morning was especially so, due to three contradictory memos which had been emailed out last night and this morning.

I was planning on resurrecting the tour diary today, being the day we were scheduled to fly to Auckland for the load-in tomorrow. However, its now old news that the remainder of the tour dates have been postponed, so Im not going anywhere further than the corner cafe. Its been a very weird week indeed - much akin to driving into a wall.
