Show Day: Milwaukee - Bradley Arena
Swam 20 lengths this morning for the second day in a row, so a felt faintly heroic all day. Today's day trip was to Milwaukee and perhaps for the sake of variety we made it a road trip - four cars and a tour bus.

The Bradley Arena is famed throughout the touring industry for having fabulous local catering. They really do it well and pulled out all the stops today - a sushi chef, a noodle bar, roasts, salads for days and desserts to make a grown man cry. Needless to say the lads were extremely happy and weighed in without hesitation. This produced the startling side effect of putting everyone to sleep about an hour later, so you could wander backstage past piles of flight cases draped with dormant roadies. It did rather remind me of the sealions at Pier 39 in San Francisco, but I thought it probably best not to mention this at the time.

On the bus on the way back to Chicago we had a few drinks and watched 'Life of Brian' which I haven't seen for ever so many years. Its still a very, very funny film.

Within the bands entourage (certainly by comparison to the crews clockwork scheduling) travel departure times are often a little loose. This morning was especially so, due to three contradictory memos which had been emailed out last night and this morning.

I was planning on resurrecting the tour diary today, being the day we were scheduled to fly to Auckland for the load-in tomorrow. However, its now old news that the remainder of the tour dates have been postponed, so Im not going anywhere further than the corner cafe. Its been a very weird week indeed - much akin to driving into a wall.
