Show Day: Vienna - Stadthalle, Show Two
It is always a great bonus for me if, in any given city, I can find the "great little cafe" to have breakfast, read the papers and generally hang out. There's a great one in Vienna, just off a small cobbled square with old green wooden tables and chairs outside, serving breakfast till late. I found it several years ago and it's really a good one. The only teensy weensy problemette this morning was that I couldn't find it. I wandered round for ages down familiar looking old cobbled streets, but just couldn't locate the square. En route I did come across Mozart's house, so took a quick look around that which was quite exciting, but could I find my coffee shop? Not a hope. Gutted.

Second show at the Vienna School Gymnasium, noisy crowd, super sweaty gig & a runner to Berlin afterwards. Arrived very late, of course, but it was exciting to be coming into Berlin knowing we'd be here for a few days and perhaps have a chance to look around.

Within the bands entourage (certainly by comparison to the crews clockwork scheduling) travel departure times are often a little loose. This morning was especially so, due to three contradictory memos which had been emailed out last night and this morning.

I was planning on resurrecting the tour diary today, being the day we were scheduled to fly to Auckland for the load-in tomorrow. However, its now old news that the remainder of the tour dates have been postponed, so Im not going anywhere further than the corner cafe. Its been a very weird week indeed - much akin to driving into a wall.
