Travel day. Perth to Sydney.

Up early and to the airport, feeling less than entirely conscious but glad to be underway. Everything was pretty straightforward, which certainly isn't the case for those heading to Europe today, due to snow carnage at Heathrow and elsewhere.

I was seated next to a short, rotund and rather jolly gentleman who was wearing a yarmulke and listening to an actual cassette tape Walkman. Woah - retro! I commented on it and he let me have a look, providing an extremely tactile nostalgia. I'd forgotten how bulky yet lightweight they were - highly insubstantial compared to the density of an iPod.

Time for a break now. Sleeping on the plane.
