Up at some utterly unspeakable hour to get to JFK for the 9am flight to London. Its one of the few flights you can get from the USA to the UK that gets you in the same day. It's a bit of a schlep, but it beats flying overnight. Funny how these things become so important in saving the remaining shreds of sanity we have left. It'll be a long day of travel for everyone as the tour fragments temporarily, but this coming week off will be welcomed by all.
This U.S. leg has been nothing short of a triumph, certainly up there with my favourite U2 tours ever (Joshua Tree first leg and Zoo TV indoor leg). Europe will bring new challenges with smaller, less consistent venues (not to mention the language barrier), but we'll be ready for it. This is where it starts to get really interesting.
