Amazing Raw Band
This was the very first time Id seen them live and I was 14 years old and took two trains to get there. I became a fan from MTV watching the Gloria video signing from that barge playform on The Dublin seaside I suppose. After the War album I was hooked thanks to wxrt and the passion in that record but seeing them live and the energy and spiritual passion thats hard to describe but you just feel it I was a fan for life and havent missed a tour stop in Chicago since. My highlight was MLK and Unforgattable Fire and Sunday bloody sunday .Thanks for the memorable tours, Albums and continuing to do this with conviction and meaning. Please dont quit your dayjobs

Knockin on Heaven's Door
It was my senior year in college. Two buddies and I literally ran through a mall department store as soon as it opened to get tickets at the ticketmaster window in the store. I don't remember the particular playlist, but I do remember sensing that a U2 concert is a somewhat spiritual experience, in an artful, not in your face sort of way. I do remember the band singing, "Knockin' on heaven's door" with Bono being allowed to strum the guitar if memory serves correctly. The concert ended with "40" and we all sung our lungs out until we were in the parking lot. I think it was a Sunday night show, and when we told our classmates on Monday morning that we had seen U2 live, they were all jealous.
