fantastic evening
I have been there too - but for sure Lou Reed wasn't playing ..... Bono got injured while some huge spotlight traverse came down - very dangerous. It was a great open air and I also remember singing "40" all the way out of the stadium .... :-)

And the rain has gone
My first U2 concert when is was 15 years old. Fortunately i have a brother with a driving license, going with me and my cousins from Hamburg to Cologne and the the next 22 years to Dortmund (LoveTown), Hannover (PopMart), Kiel (ZooTV), Bremen (Zooropa), Berlin (Elevation), Dublin and Berlin (Vertigo), Berlin (360) and now Hannover. Back to the Colgne. U2 was supported by Big Audio Dynamite, The Pretenders and Lou Reed and ticketes were avaliabl for 36 DM!! It was a very rainy day, but whe U2 started with Stand by me the rain stopped. Unfortunately Bono was injured while U2 was playing Bad, so the concert was stpped during Bad for several times. At last they were playing 40 and I will rember for the rest of my life, that the whole stadium was singing 40 even the concert has finished. All the people singing while leaving the stadium and going home was a magic moment. Hope to see U2 once in my life in my hometown.
