9/11
A 9/11 with the right reasons to be remembered, by each one who stood at the Jose Alvalade Stadium in that evening. It was a warm and tipical portuguese september day. Went to the show with my dear friend Ricardo and my girlfriend at the time. I recall the opening gig was preformed by no other than Placebo! They warmed up the crowd just fine, 'till Bono, Larry, The Edge and Adam took of our feet from the ground! The giant LED screen, the spacecraft Lemon, the band's performance, the atmosfere and the sound waves that hit me on my chest... still puts me a big smile on my face!

My memories
The show was Amazing, magnificent ... I was so excited. I remember a lot of things: the entrance of the band (in the middle of the crowd), with that funny clothes. It was so fun see the “muscle Bono” and the pugilism performance :)))))) and the mask of Adam (even back then, the band were waking up our conscience for the environment problems. The stage was huge, with a lot of colour lightnings over him... and the big, big Lemon (the band pump of there.... great). I loved the ironic arch (once again probably the message of Bono “hey people, wake up for the capitalism, .... for the fas t food, ... for the fast life, ... fast everything.... ) They were very nice to the fans, Bono talked to the crowd and even said two or three Portuguese words (we tried thank you – obrigado; boa noite Lisboa – good evening Lisboa). We all sing almost all songs. I remember of singing, dancing, crying and most of all fell free. At some point I even felt alone with my thoughts and that they were played just for me. I loved when they played With or Without You and Pride
