It's a beautiful day at Camp Nou in Barcelona. The sun is shining, U2's 360 Tour production is coming to life... and the new stage is something to behold.

'Seeing it here is something else,' says Jake Berry, the band's Production Director. 'I think jaws are going to drop when people come through those doors on the opening night.'

Jake's been working in rock'n'roll for longer than he cares to remember but says he's never seen anything as ambitious. 'Every show has a wow factor but this wow is going to last longer!'

Tour architect Mark Fisher, who has been collaborating with Show Designer Willie Williams since the 1990's, says his main feeling when he finally saw it in the stadium was relief. Why ? 'Because it fits, we built it the right size!'

'I think it will take people's breath away when they arrive, a real statement that U2 are in town, but when the band come on stage it will disappear, it will all be about that communication between band and audience.'

We'll be bringing you reports, photos and video from Barcelona in the run up to opening night on June 30th.

Meantime we grabbed a quick word with Willie too, who told us that seeing it finally come off the page and into the stadium is 'pretty extraordinary.'
