U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere #11

'All Of Us Are Better Than Any Of Us.'

Eleventh show at Sphere and the longest to date, with 23 songs. During the second act, the band played five songs from Rattle and Hum: 'All I Want Is You', 'Desire', 'When Love Comes To Town', 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For', and 'Love Rescue Me'.

There were several song snippets, including Ed Sheeran's 'Shape of You', Primal Scream's 'Movin' On Up', 'Two Tribes' by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Lou Reed's 'Take A Walk On The Wild Side', and the Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' and 'Blackbird', which closed out the  show.

What Bono Said

Before All I Want Is You: ''I've been fascinated by faith-versus-luck all my life...'I know the band are really lucky, but I'd like to think that we also have a love that transcends that, and a love of each other, and a love of our audience'.

About The Edge: 'On my right, the only person in the world who doesn't think he's the most influential guitar player of the last 40 years.'

Introducing I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, a song inspired by the poet Allen Ginsburg and the psalms of David: 'I hope you know that this band loves this country…”All of us are better than any of us” —  that's the message of America.'

October 8, 2023 Show at the Las Vegas Sp
I had the best time watching my favorite rock band U2! The last time I saw them live was way back in 1987 during the Joshua Tree Tour in Washington, DC. I really missed out on seeing U2's live shows during the 90's and the aughts... my life just got too busy with raising 2 boys and working full time. So it was just a real pleasure to be able to make time to see them again recently and these guys did not disappoint. U2's show at the Sphere was just amazing and jaw-dropping! The music and the special effects were just incredible. I just love this band and admire them so much for staying together and just loving what they do (I could tell that they really enjoy performing and it was so nice to see that, even after all these years). U2's music brings so much joy to my life; the lyrics touch my heart and the music is just so wonderful. I missed seeing Larry and hope that he is healing well. Bram did a great job filling in for Larry, but I'm hoping that Larry will be able to play with the band soon. Love you guys so much!

Wow! Thanks for a great show! The energy and connecting with the audience was awesome. What an incredible setlist - so glad it was a night of added bonuses and personalized touches! Loved the spectacle of the venue and how the band used it. The views from way up top were pretty amazing. Plus, they really used the Sphere's capability to not only dazzle, but to also bring us closer to the band. Those were the clearest large screen shots from any concert I've been to! Others mentioned there were some sound issues, but Bono handled it smoothly. The Sphere did seem to go dark for a while in the middle of the show. Not sure if that was part of the plan, but it did feel like the crowd lost a little energy there. If the Sphere was having sound and display issues, U2 handled it well and made sure to focus on connecting with their fans! Thanks!

Lift off in the desert
I was impressed that they didn't let the technology overwhelm the music. Sure there were some songs I would describe as "sensory overload" to show off the technology and venue. But more often than not the screen served the music rather than the other way around. Enjoyed thoroughly. I do have a question... Just before All I Want is You a tech came running on stage to talk to Bono and afterwards he seemed to say something to the effect that "no I'm not going to stop the show." I think he ad libbed a lyric about the broken sphere, and then a few songs later said it was fixed after someone came on stage again. Anybody have any idea what happened or what we may have otherwise "missed?" Also did that have anything to do with us getting an extra song? Probably not but wondered if that was added on fly to buy some time to fix stuff for later in the show. Anyway, all the best to you all. We met people from all over the world and that is a big part of what it is all about! Thanks for any
