Support Act was Red Rockers!
MP SGT - While I agree that this was an incredible show - and most certainly started my love of seeing U2 live - Red Rider was not the support act. It was the Red Rockers, who put on a killer set! Their 80's hit was "China."

1st ever U2 show for me
Amazing energy and this is when I became a true fan. If I remember correctly Bono's father was in the crowd that night and it was the first time he'd seen U2 in the states, according to Bono's announcement from the stage.

This was a GREAT show! The best moment was half way through the show when Bono introduced his Dad and mentioned that this was the first time his dad had seen them live in front of a big audience. Red Rider was the support act jamming "Lunatic Fringe"! Best musical moment for me was a tie between "Wire" and when they got the guy to come and play acoustic to "Knocking on Heavens Door".
