Some Days Are Slippy

U2 are on the cover of a new sports and music magazine slippy online.

The maqazine is, apparently, 'fresher than your mama's coldcuts', butdespite this they do seem to like U2 an awful lot.

Editor Matt Decoste, who got into the band when he was six in 1987, saysslippy is 'written by abunch of nolife college kids looking for something todo.'

'We started this magazine basically cos we arepretty dazed at how boring and unoriginal music andsports magazines are today.'

Their U2 cover story compares the relative merits of other acts includingRadiohead, REM, Oasis, Creed and Pearl Jam.

Oh and they love POP.

'I would like to take this opportunity to say that POP was a great album.Yeah, so they went techno on a few tracks, so? I don¹t see many bands thesedays taking chances here and there. There is soul on that album, there isheart on that album, and more importantly, there are quality songs on thatalbum.

'Please' is one of my favorite songs of all-time. Performed live, as heardon the PopHeart EP, it is one of the most compelling pieces of music I haveever heard ('Just stop fighting, please, let's talk 'please' 'Cause love isbig, and love is tough, but love is not, what you¹re thinking of')....'
