'Always Evolving'

17
From the end of the show at Soldier Field, Edge jumped into his car to head to the airport. We hitched a lift with the U2.com camera and Edge told us what it was like to be back on stage in the US, whey there's something special about Chicago and how the show is 'always evolving.' Advance showing of this great clip just for our U2.com subscribers.

The only moment of the tour I regret !
Yeah, Like the band, i like to be honest ! Leave fans in black cars downstairs...in the stadium ! Like to say, ok, now we've done our job, thanks for paying, now we go to the airplane... Arf...nice tour, nice show..but this moment is not really good for the image of the band...;-)

edge
Soooo great to see Edge talking from the heart after a show ir gives the fans some insight as to how the band feel and what they do when they disappear into the darkness at the end of a gig when we are all singing 40 and shouting for more. Loved the cilp of Bono kissing that surprised woman through the glass window of the radio station, the videos are great keep them rolling so we can follow our beloved U2 . Keep rocking boys I love you all xxx

Different setlist?
So would it be safe to say U2 will be playing a more varied setlist? Ala James? Maybe play Drowning Man, Surrender, Walk To the Water, Native Son, Yahweh (full band), Acrobat....

catching a plane on a wing of a prayer
Thank you U2 for opening your tour in the great city of Chicago. Only question is...why did you leave so so soon? Your should of stayed a day or two to enjoy the city. I love you guys soooo much

Good News it is!!!
I like the idea of them adding new songs to the setlist: Songs like 'Zooropa' or anything of 'Pop' or One Tree Hill and Drowning Man would sound great! U2 is awsome - went to Chicago 1. Probably one of the best nights of my life! God bless the tour and the band....peace.

More Glimpses
This is fun to listen to Edge speak from the heart immediately after a show. More glimpses of the guy's thoughts as they travel N. America would be great. Before, during, after the shows... on their off days... surprise fan greetings. Thanks!

Chicago 2
I went to both shows and Edge was right. The second show was better. Chicago 1 was a great show but #2 was really special. I guess I get it, Edge. Keep on rockin America!

Opening Night Round 2!!
I can't agree more with Edge that the boys had a certain "buzz" for the 2nd show!!! Saturday was great, but Sunday night; PHENOMINAL!!!!!! Of the 8 shows I've seen so far, Sunday night in Chicago was among the best!!! On to Toronto!!!

Overall I loved the show, the music is always perfection, energy high, staging phenomenal, U2 concert number 39 for me. (I have a day job otherwise I would travel more to see them) So I give it a ten but also have a few suggestions to push it way over the top, listed in no particular order… Loved the smoke at the beginning opening song and bellowing from the overhead spire but hated it during the show on stage, band does not need it, keep it simple. Loved that you didn't use any stadium lights, it was a self contained lighting show, brilliant Loved the beacons shooting up in the sky from the staging. Can you somehow make the U2 tour symbol "ala the batman symbol" project on the sky? Too cool. Loved the stage but night two I had what would have been great seats in a normal show but Larry was completely obstructed from my view because of the leg of the stage. It had a mesh wrapping around it, if you lose that more people can see through the structure, also it gives an illusion of being "lighter" less tethered to the ground when it is unwrapped. Those 12 guys up in the legs working lights, give one a head cam, what awesome unique views!!! Lose the words on the screen during the new song…oh oh...no no. Otherwise video graphics great but more live would be better for people who had no stage view. The live feeds were shot beautifully. Chicago loves U2, come back soon. Peace
