If you caught U2 360° in 2009 you won't need reminding of the extraordinary power of Ultraviolet.

But if you also caught the band on the road in the early 1990's with ZOO TV, you won't have forgotten the song's previous show-stopping appearance... with this memorable clip made by Brian Eno.

Watch it here.

Timeless UV
"Ultraviolet" is timeless! It's not a Greatest Hts like "Pride". Elvis' "Love Me Tender" comes to mind when I think of this song. Bono's voice & lyrics are one with Edge's guitar chords=raw emotion. Maybe that's why they can only play it sometimes...it's something that is "felt" not "played". I've heard it on 2 tours: ZooTV Outside Broadcast in Foxboro 1992 and 360 tour in Foxboro-loved the theatrics/colors of the jacket & the steering wheel mike during 360 tour. Different times in my life, but evoking the same emotions-18 yrs. later. That's power..the power of U2's music.

Ultraviolet
Got to see U2 twice in 1992. In March it was the first time ever seeing them live. I became a fan for life. The whole show was truly unbelievable. I will always remember the shows.

Great tune
Ultraviolet is a such a great tune, and Achtung Baby was such a cool record. It was great to finally see a live version released with the DVD. There's a pathos to UV/Acrobat/Love is Blindness that captures something I can't quite put my finger on. For me they constitute the high water mark.

Zoo TV wins them all
I saw U2 in Toronto in 93, 2 days in a row. The stage was amazing my first of 16 concerts. As each concert has a life of its own and seems to get better and better I will never forget hearing ZOO Live. Please don't drop off Ultraviolet, if anything bring back Shades and open up with The Fly and a little Acrobat. Truth - all of your songs are boundless. I think I can speak for many if I can note that I want to hear all those remixes we have never heard in concert like "Salomé" and "Fast Cars". All the best this Summer/Fall and can't wait to see and hear you T.O. next Summer.

Ultra must stay
Plz. Play Ultra Violet, best song of 09 and now it sounds like it will be dropped. That is ridiculous, drop anything but Ultra!

8th August 1993 Parkhead
I was just a teenager but already a U2 fan for 9yrs i remember standing waiting on the gates opening and hearing the Edge playing Numb over and over again as the gates openened i dropped my last £20 but did not care as i wanted as close to the stage as possible. The whole stage was awesome and for the next few hours i stood in awe at the whole stage. When the band came on i was in U2 heaven for the next 2hrs. 3 highlights of the gig was Where the streets have no names, Bad and Ultraviolet what a night what a show what a band.

Houston yes, Denver no
I saw indoor Zoo in Houston Texas. They did not come through Denver, Colorado suspect because of scheduling conflicts with the Denver Nuggets at Big Mac. For Zoo TV Outside Broadcast they did not play Ultraviolet in Denver. I was bummed. That song was great with the sign language and all.

Since 1993 to today
I saw the Zoo Tv Show back in 1993, in Bologna, Italy. It was my first U2 Concert and still can remember it clearly. It was the years that made me adult and Achtung Bay and Zooropa were my Soundtrack. And the power of Ultraviolet came back to me, after the Vertigo tour... I needed its words to help me... And hear it back last year was really AMAZING... Hope it will be again part of the show!!! See you in 3 days!!!

Ultraviolet
Guys, Ultraviolet is THE song you have to play at every single show! Please do not drop it!! It was definitely a highlight of last year shows... And this is the kind of song that you could still release now and which would be a hit single! Please, perform it in Francfort, Paris and Brussels at least!!! Thanks and have a funny tour!

In my opinion this song represents the team spirit of U2. You know what I am talking about if you listen to the song.

Getting lost in the mirrorball suit
Hartford / Worcester / Providence / Boston in March 1992. Front row in Boston (thanks, Propaganda...RIP). Getting lost in Bono's baby blues while being overpowered by the shine off the mirrorball suit - we locked gaze during 2nd verse of the song and I don't remember Love is Blindness that night as I was still living in Ultraviolet. Missed it in the setlist at Foxboro 1, but thoroughly enjoyed it for the next 2 nights at Foxboro during the Outside Broadcast. Seeing how this song has transformed from ZooTV to 360 and the power behind it - from the bright mirrorball performance in '92 to the dark/laser performance in '09 - despite being in almost the same spot in the show, it brought completely different meaning to the show. It continues to be my 2nd favorite song off of Achtung Baby (The Fly being my fave). Amazing song - amazing performances - typical U2 :)

Light My Way
I saw the band 10 times on ZooTV in 1992.Some nights the band played UV during the encore, other nights they left it out.One of my favorite shows was Boston,03.17.92.St Patricks Day.UV was great,as was the WHOLE show.Same great show at MSG 03.20.92.UV was a standout .The band should release these shows, and a few more from the 1992 tour.

Dancing Queen at Stockholm 1992
My first show ever with U2 at the Stockholm Globe Arena June 11th. Superb concert with Björn and Benny of ABBA on stage performed Dancing Queen..... ;) Show was broadcasted to ONE entire person in U.K, how cool can it be?

11th August 1993
At the old Wembley Stadium (my first U2 concert), they played it straight after Salman Rushdie had arrived on stage - that was show stopping! Fast forward to August 2009 at the new Wembley Stadium (my third U2 concert) and when they played it, the light show was amazing. Great song, bought back some good memories.

Ultraviolet, The First Time
Saw Ultraviolet performed for the first time on the ZOO TV tour in Glasgow, SECC in 1992 and then again in Glasgow at Celtic Park in 1993, what a song, one of my favourites especially live, thank you for choosing to perfrom this wonderful tune again on the 360 tour.

ZOO TV Tour - Milan Forum Assago
I remember the power of the entire show. I was under the stage! When I think of those moments is still shaking. Great. I'd try the same feelings 6 Friday, perhaps close to the stage. Soon
