Edge called in from New York to tell us about Bono's recuperation, the postponed North America dates and plans to debut new material when the tour restarts.

Not long now. In just a couple of months U2360° takes off again from Salt Lake City, before heading out across North America and back into Europe. Anyone notice that Edge dropped a recent hint about the set list ?

'I bought a £5 acoustic guitar from a junk-shop down Dublin quays and I started learning chords and collecting songs....' Adam's first guitar - latest feature from the U2.com archives, and this one's really early.

The band were in the studios of Toronto's The Edge music station yesterday. Toronto was ready to meet them... and the show's host got a little surprise.

'New Year's Day' is the soundtrack to a TV spot from The European Commission, celebrating the 20th anniversary of free elections in Poland earlier this year. The band play Chorzow in Poland tonight.

Ten dates in and tomorrow the band arrive in Dublin for the opening night at Croke Park.
