Small Arena and Chill Bumps
I was 17 when I attended this concert. It was my first U2 concert and my mind was blown by the passion and energy of the band and the fans all singing together. I already loved them, but was really hooked then. When BB came out, it was like, NO WAYY !!! We knew we were witnessing in person music history being made. Tarrant County Convention Center was a small arena, I remember thinking I would probably never get to see U2 in such as small venue again.

BB King was icing on cake.
I tried for 6 hours straight to get tickets for the first Fort Worth show, over the phone, calling over and over. Took so long to finally get through I ended up getting tickets to THIS second show. I had no idea BB was going to be there. The music was superior from U2. First concert I had been to that had tables set up with petitions from Amnesty International available for signatures. Concerts were always fun at Tarrant County Convention Center (TCCC). Saw so many great ones there in 70’s and ‘80s. BB was fantastic, master at guitar and storytelling through his songs. I feel blessed to have seen and heard him. Magical. When leaving the concert, a horrible thunderstorm was going on. Every time thunder hit it was so loud the car alarms all around TCCC were going off, as all the concert goers scrambled in the pouring rain to their cars and trucks.
