Jack Nicholson introduced the band to a packed Wembley Stadium. Earlier in the year, Bono and Adam had taken part in recording the single 'Feed The World' all in support of raising funds for famine relief in Ethiopia.

U2's performance didn't go according to plan. 'We didn't do the hits because I'd gone AWOL'.The band played a 14-minute rendition of "Bad", during which Bono jumped off the stage to join the crowd and dance with a girl. Originally they were supposed to play 'Sunday Bloody Sunday', 'Bad' and 'Pride (In The Name of Love)' but had to drop Pride from the set due to time constraints.

U2 AT LIVE AID 1985
To this day when I watch the video of U2's performance at LIVE AID I'm still in amazement of the impact they have on their audience almost 30 years later. If you watch U2's set of Sunday Bloody Sunday and Bad, 5 hours into the show the audience came alive and seeing how many U2 flags waving in the crowd demonstrates that U2 were a fan favourite of the show. To this day, every time I go to a U2 show they seem to have that same impact on the crowd and how they can electrify their audience throughout the entire show. Cannot wait until the boys are on tour again. Let's hope it's sooner than later.
