Bono Does Paul
I attended the Beacon show on April 17th. I was expecting an "Audiobook" performance , but what i got was an intriguing look at the life of Bono. He's definitely a frustrated actor, but he pulls it off. From living out his moment on the operating table to his candid uncomfortable talks with his Da, bono is a showman no doubt. His voice was exceptional, maybe due to some rest. The setlist did not disappoint, opening with Blinding Lights, one of my favorite "human liftoff" songs and ending with Torna a Surriento, a tribute to his dad or at least i took it that way. That song knocked me out, I didn't know he had it in him. From where i was in the 3rd row, you could see his breathe and spit as he performed the song. He was all in and it was the highlight for me. Rock on Bono, i'm a fan all over again!
