'Come on now Hogtown...  in the summer night, where  you going to take us?
'Under the pale moon...where you going to take us?'

Tonight Toronto took us from 'Real Thing' in the 1990's to 'I Will Follow' in the 1970's, from 'Scarlet' in the 1980's to Moment of Surrender which was first played live when this tour opened over  two years ago. We travelled, as usual, on the U2360° spaceship, the night flew by and in the end we were all just stars shining in the summer night - not just inside the Rogers Centre but right across the city.

'Didn't know U2 was in town,' tweeted andrispone. 'Then I heard this ringing on my balcony that sounded like The Edge. Sure enough, the lid is open at the Dome'

'We're free to fly the crimson sky
The sun won't melt our wings tonight.
Oh now, oh yeah, here she comes
Take me higher, take me higher
You take me higher, you take me higher....'

A lot can happen in two years, explained Bono, apologising for the delay in the band's arrival here. Adam is 'walking differently because he's become a father',  Larry has a film out, Edge has had an idea for a new musical. 'Who can fathom the workings of this man's mind? A genius on guitars and everything else... very good at train sets.'

'Faraway, so close
Up with the static and the radio.
With satellite television
You can go anywhere:
Miami, New Orleans
London, Belfast....Toronto in the summer sun.'

'Can we take this space station any higher on a Monday night?' Elevation is rocket-fuel for a U2 crowd seven nights a week and sure enough it took this show into warp mode: 'Noisy, noisy folks. Don't tell us you treat all your rock stars like this!'

Special thanks tonight to Arthur Fogel of Live Nation 'Who believed in this tour when it was just a rock star wanting to take a space ship around the world. You should be proud, he's one of your own... Canadian.
'You're incredible people, you've got an incredible country. Thanks for loaning it to us for the evening...'

Did the lid of the Dome open for you in Toronto tonight? What took you higher?

Some fans are, to quote a song, 'geniuses of compression' - like @GeraldtonSteve on Twitter who summed it up: 'Weather cooperated, dome stayed open, epic setlist, amazing lightshow. Thanks, #U2360TOR Worth the 15 hour drive.'

First U2 concert overseas
I benefitted from the cancelled gig in 2010 as I was able to plan a trip to Toronto around the revised concert schedule. I came from N Ireland and this was the first time I have seen U2 outside Ireland and was not disappointed. The combined backdrop of the open roof and the tower made the perfect setting and the clincher was the weather – truly a beautiful day. The Toronto crowd were brilliant as well. I have only been at ground level before but the view from the front of section 518 was incredible. Thanks U2, thanks Toronto – unforgettable!

concert dvd for toronto , canada
Is there any other venue in the world that looked better than Rogers Centre, better known as SKYDOME haha. I mean the dome , lid open next to the tallest structure in the world , all lit up with a spaceship landed right there in the middle with 4 irish gents giving us everything and in return the fans give them everything. It was a magical night , and i really hope it was filmed. Im begging the lads of U2 to at least consider releasing a dvd of this particular show. I mean Canada deserves this finally. Ireland has one, austrailia has one America has three not sure why but that anothe story. Its Canadas time to shine , so what do you say boys is it our time in your minds. Thanks again GENTS, love CANADA

Great show and good to be at a concert again - Feb in SA felt like a very long time ago. Not sure how I will handle the not knowing when the next tour will be. Suppose hope for another DVD or weekly tickets to U23D. Loved Stay and Pride the most.

Unbelievable show as was the last show in TO...From start to finish the boys had the SkyDome rocking...wish it did not have to end and was well worth the he wait. I love U2 and always will...just hope they come out with a second DVD like the Rose Bowl since the music set was different. I can die a happy person now that I have seen U2 once more!!

A Night to Remember!
Sat in the nose bleeds in 2009 and thought to myself next time I want to be on the ground....Arrived in TO at noon and stood in line in the hot....hot...hot sun, but met some amazing U2 fans. Loved every minute of standing in line. Stood outside of the elipse and watched with awe. Then drove home and crawled in bed at 3am....and I am still in after glow. U2 has always been my band, since 1985 and continues to be. Not only do I love the music, I love what they stand for! I will always remember this concert at a thrill of a life time. Bono and the boys were less than 10 feet away and next to sitting down and enjoying a Starbucks with them....this is a dream come true. Thanks for the memories!

A Bolivian Kid
When I was a 15 years old Bolivian kid and I used to save my pennies to by the latest U2 Vinyl LP, it was just a dream having the opportunity to see the Greatest Band of my generation in a Concert. Now as a 38 Canadian, this past July 11, I fulfilled that dream. U2 The Greatest Band ! Canada the Greatest Country ! Toronto the most Beautiful City, U2 360, a dream of a Concert ! I love you all.

My Kids First Ever Concert was U2!!!!
When my wife and I saw you in Toronto in 2009 for the first time it was amazing. The next morning we told our kids if U2 comes back we will take you! So when I bought tickets for the July 2010 show they were excited.....as we all know the show was cancelled. Fast forward one year and it was marked on the calendar come Jan.1, 2011. The anticipation and buildup was getting greater and greater and boom July 2011 was here! The kids, my wife and myself all decked out in U2 t-shirts from 2009 were ready to rock and roll in downtown Toronto. My kids had an awesome experience and they will forever be able to say "My first concert was to U2 the Best Band in the World!!!!!" Thanks U2 for a night we will never forget with our children. Bad sound makes music overshadowed by st
Performance ruined by terrible skydome sound making U2s music secondary to spectacle of stage. I love U2, the stage is amazing, but I wanted the music first and foremost.

Humbled by the presence of U2
I have been a fan since I was 10 years old and U2 has never cease to amaze me with their music, talent and their impact on the world at large. I was honored to be at the Toronto show and it was an out of body experience, a spiritual journey. I was one of the 60, 000 fans and when the lights went down, there was an intimacy between the band and each one of us, it is an emotion that has to be experienced and not explained. Thank you U2 for being a constant guide and the constant belief that Music is a revolution that we all want to be a part of. For me the music of U2 is a revolution and evolution that I will always be grateful for. Thank you U2.
